During the 2022 ECHL All-Star Classic, I got the opportunity to work as Technical Director for the show. This was also my first time in front of a Grass Valley switcher but I was ready for the challenge. Big thanks goes to our Director Mike Zimmerman who was an experienced TD & was able to set up the board for me and give me tips and tricks for the show. Overall it was a great production with an even better crew.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics - Rugby
Follow me on my experience during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics while working as a talent statistician & researcher during the Rugby Sevens games
Working the Olympics is a dream assignment for many freelancers in sports broadcasting. Ever since I began my broadcasting career in 2011, it had been a goal of mine to one day be part of the Games. Thanks to a recommendation from local rugby friend Mike Wright, that opportunity finally became a reality.
I was hired by NBC Sports Group as a talent statistician and researcher for the men’s and women’s Rugby Sevens tournaments. My assignment was based out of NBC Sports Group’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, where I arrived several days before competition began to adjust to the time difference and prepare for my role. During the tournament, my schedule consisted of a 3 p.m. call time, a 6 p.m. broadcast start, and shifts that often lasted until 7 a.m. for six consecutive days.
Throughout the matches, I worked closely with both the play-by-play and color commentators, providing statistics, storylines, and player notes to enhance the broadcast. Behind the scenes, I collaborated with a team of Olympic researchers who helped track down information and ensure the talent had everything they needed throughout each event.
Although the experience was demanding, it remains one of the highlights of my career. Rugby was the sport that first introduced me to sports broadcasting, and having the opportunity to work on the sport’s biggest stage at the Olympic Games is something I will always cherish.
Sharks SCREAM Ticket Sales Commercial
Jacksonville Sharks ticket sales commercial to promote home games for the 2021 NAL season.
After 2 years away from the field, the Jacksonville Sharks begun their 2021 NAL campaign and needed a commercial to emphasize the fan experience. We came up with this “SCREAM” concept, as there is alot of it at your typical arena football game. These “donut” spots would air the week of a home game to promote ticket sales for that game.
Jacksonville Icemen - Lizard Kings Intro
The Icemen once again became the Lizard Kings. This Mortal Kombat themed intro never made it to air, but one of my favorites to edit and show off.
When the Jacksonville Icemen announced a special throwback night honoring the Jacksonville Lizard Kings, the city’s beloved minor league hockey team from the late 1990s, the entire broadcast presentation had to be reimagined. From the score bug to the in-arena graphics, every visual element was redesigned to capture the bold, energetic style that made the Lizard Kings so memorable.
As part of the transformation, I created an original intro video to help set the tone for the night and immerse fans in the throwback atmosphere. Although the team ultimately decided to go in a different direction and re-edit the piece to Kid Rock’s “Bawitdaba,” my first version took inspiration from the dark, high-energy aesthetic of the Mortal Kombat franchise, which has always been a personal favorite of mine.
While the original cut never made it to the arena screens, it remains one of my favorite projects from the event and a fun opportunity to blend hockey, nostalgia, and one of my biggest pop-culture influences into a unique piece of content.
University Christian Music Video
Music video made for University Christian School in Jacksonvile, Florida to enroll new students.
University Christian School in Jacksonville, Florida was looking for a fun, energetic recruitment video to enroll students. With our producer Stacy Ellison and school advisors, we came up with this idea with a fellow student singing and writing this original song. The whole video was shot in 1 day and had a combination of locations and drone footage.
My First Documentary - Jason Bennett
My first documentary I ever produced & edited featured local giant Jason Bennett & his journey to the ABA Jacksonville Giants.
During my internship at Iconic Innovations Media Group, the newly formed Jacksonville Giants basketball team partnered with our production team to create live broadcasts for local television on CW-17. With the city still getting to know its newest franchise, we were tasked with producing a series of feature stories that introduced fans to the players behind the team.
One of the most memorable profiles focused on 7'4" center Jason Bennett. A Jacksonville native, Bennett attended Arlington Country Day School, where he helped lead the program to a state championship and gained national recognition for his dominant play. He still holds the Florida state record for most career blocks, making him the perfect subject to help answer the question: “Who are the Giants players?”
PUNISHER - No Justice
Punisher - No Justice is a fan-film based on the Punisher character. It was an unfinished project that was recovered and brought back to life with this short fight scene.
Punisher – No Justice was a fan film created by my former boss, Kevin Porter, who starred as Marvel’s iconic antihero. The film follows Frank Castle as he battles the Yakuza in his relentless pursuit of vengeance.
Originally envisioned as a larger project, production was eventually put on hold and nearly forgotten. Years later, I was able to recover the original master footage and assemble it into a short film, preserving the work and creativity that went into the production.
